Lake Washington Schools Foundation was honored to receive a national award in recognition of its partnership with Assistance League of the Eastside.

Operation School Bell Award

During the Assistance League of the Eastside’s Spring Fling event on March 9, Lake Washington Schools Foundation was presented with the 2022-2023 Operation School Bell® Award. This national award recognizes organizations that have made a significant positive impact on Operation School Bell in chapter’s community, through financial, service, or in-kind support.

In a letter from the National Assistance League, National Executive Director Matt Zarcufsky elaborates, “Your foundation’s generous donation of $10,000 has ensured that more students could be included in the chapter’s Operation School Bell program for the 2022-2023 school year. Your foundation made a second donation of $4,500 to clothe an additional 30 students in need from the district’s waitlist for Operational School Bell support.

LWSF’s Development Office, Jamie Holland, was present at the Spring Fling to accept the award on behalf of the Foundation.

“I was deeply honored to accept this award on behalf of the Foundation and its donors in recognition of our collaboration with the ALE to care for even more families in our district,” said Jamie Holland, who was joined at the event by fellow LWSF staff member Maya Vidich and LWSF Trustee Jana Koeberle.
