This year, Be the Bridge is more than just Lake Washington Schools Foundation’s biggest fundraiser—it’s a milestone celebration marking 20 years of making a difference for students in the Lake Washington School District!

WHAT:    LWSF’s Be the Bridge Spring Benefit

Event Schedule:

  • 4:30 PM–5:00 PM | Early Check-in & Meet and Greet 
    Arrive early to check in, meet with LWSF’s program leaders, and connect with fellow guests. 
  • 5:00 PM–6:00 PM | Drinks, Appetizers & Networking 
    Enjoy drinks and appetizers while networking with fellow attendees. 
  • 6:00 PM–7:00 PM | Event Program 
    Join us for an inspiring program hosted by MC Dennis Bounds, featuring remarks from LWSD Superintendent Dr. Jon Holmen, videos showcasing LWSF’s work, and a special celebration of our 20th anniversary. 
  • 7:00 PM–7:30 PM | Dessert & Final Networking 
    Indulge in delicious desserts and enjoy a final opportunity to network before the evening concludes. 

Be the Bridge is the biggest fundraiser of our year, and while attendance is complimentary, we ask all guests to make a meaningful donation in support of local students. The minimum suggested contribution is $250.

Online registration is now closed. We will have a limited number of seats available for walk-ins.

Upon arrival, enjoy a complimentary glass of prosecco or sparkling cider to kick off the celebration. Then, savor a Bridge-a-rita, a Student Success Spritz, or a Bright Future mocktail—available at our cash bars. A portion of the proceeds from each signature drink supports LWSF.

Master of Ceremonies

Dennis Bounds will serve as the emcee for this year’s Be the Bridge Spring Benefit, bringing his rich history as a trusted voice in our community. With a 25-year tenure at KING 5, including 21 years as the evening anchor, Dennis became a familiar face in homes across the Pacific Northwest, delivering news with professionalism and heart.

A longtime Redmond resident of 34 years, Dennis is deeply rooted in the Lake Washington School District community. As a former LWSD parent, he supported his three children through their educational journeys in LWSD schools. Today, Dennis continues to give back as a dedicated LINKS Lunch Buddy, mentoring and supporting local students.
